Job summary

Responsibilities include safe patient care in Telemetry, patient/family teaching, and directing nursing staff while upholding professional standards. Required certifications and a BSN are preferred; ECRN/MICN within 12 months may be required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of safe patient care in Telemetry using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s condition including diagnostic results and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
