Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current staff must be compliant within 24 months of 3/24/15 revision date.
• Any one of the following: Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, military medical training, or currently enrolled in a nursing program.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed personnel in implementing the nursing process in direct patient care.
• Gathers equipment and assist in procedures, including casting, lumbar puncture, and laceration repair.
• Performs CPR in accordance with hospital policy.
• Maintains point-of-care testing equipment and quality control.
• Engages with patients, visitors, and family to facilitate a positive experience.
• Assembles and maintains medical records per hospital policy.
