Job summary

Ally Medical seeks an ER Tech to assist the RN and Physician in the Emergency Department. The role involves supporting patient care, performing basic skill sets, and activating efficient workflows under supervision.

Requirements include EMT or paramedic knowledge, ability to stay calm in chaotic situations, basic computer skills, and English communication. Two years of ER technician experience and CPR/BLS certification are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general principles of medicine as derived from EMT/paramedic training.
• Must maintain calm in stressful situations.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive care to patients under the direction of the RN in charge and/or physician.
• Performs patient care tasks: height/weight, vital signs, IV initiation, blood draws, documenting as needed.
• Assists with diagnostic testing using lab procedures and reports results to RN/physician.
• Assists in assessments, examinations, and treatment with the RN and Attending Physician.
• Monitors stock and restocks supplies; may assist in office duties as needed.
• Works effectively as a multidisciplinary team member and supports others.
