Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas, a nationally recognized health care system in central North Carolina, seeks an Emergency Room Technician to support safe patient flow in the ER under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and medical direction of the ER Physician.

The role requires maintaining required certifications through ongoing education, skill testing, and state re-certification processes, ensuring high-quality patient care across 75 locations in the service area.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent plus 1 year of related experience or equivalent.
• Current North Carolina EMS Paramedic certification/licensure.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Maintain required certifications through continuing education and re-certification.
• Follow protocols to maintain safe and effective patient flow.
