Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for night shifts on a PRN basis. You will assist the clinical team with phlebotomy, splinting, procedures, and patient transport, under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include patient care, triage support, vital signs, chart assembly, and coordination with nursing and physicians. Prior experience in ED and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Active license as C.N.A, CECA, EMT, EMT Intermediate, PCT or Medical Assistant (TX).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Paramedic training or related education preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Prefer hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical team in patient care ensuring a safe, comforting environment.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Pre-Triage vital signs and patient arrival notification.
• Assist with positioning, transfers and charting.
• Perform phlebotomy, suctioning and IV setup per policy.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with clerical duties as needed.
