Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an Emergency Room Technician I in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. The role offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus and a minimum hiring rate of $15.91 per hour, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends, plus up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

The position involves basic patient care under RN supervision, patient identification, specimen handling, and transport between departments. Full-time with daytime/evening shifts; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Triages patient care by identifying and documenting needs.
• Reports changes in patient condition to RN.
• Assists with wound care, splinting, and EKGs.
• Supports rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care plans.
• Transports patients, specimens, and medications as needed.
