Geisinger Community Medical Center seeks an Emergency Room Technician I to provide frontline patient care under RN supervision. The role supports triage, transport, and bedside tasks while contributing to a safe, healing environment across the care team.

Eligible candidates may receive a $1,500 sign-on and enjoy up to $40,000 in nursing school support, plus shift differentials up to $3 for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
• Willingness to work day/evening shifts and rotate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Triage patient needs, document changes, and report to RN.
• Assist with transporting patients, specimens, and medications.
• Provide unit desk clerk functions when needed.
• Promote a caring, patient-centered environment at all times.
