Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an Emergency Room Technician I in a nights schedule with 36 hours per week. The role offers a $1500 sign-on bonus and a minimum hiring rate of $15.91 per hour, with potential shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends. There is also up to $40,000 in educational support to pursue nursing.

Responsibilities include triaging patients, assisting RNs, and performing basic patient care and throughput tasks in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet orientation and full-time scheduling requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and with strong attendance.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient care by identifying and documenting needs.
• Report changes in patient condition to RN.
• Assist with wound care, splinting, and EKGs.
• Support rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care plans.
• Provide unit desk clerk functions when needed.
• Transport medications, blood products and specimens as required.
