Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER Technician to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care across assigned areas. You will collect clinical data, obtain specimens, and assist with patient activities following the care plan.

The role requires strong teamwork and adherence to infection control and privacy standards. Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma or GED with EMT/Nursing program experience, and current BLS; ACLS/ALS is required in most markets, with Wisconsin-specific

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with one of the listed program completions.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS/ALS certification required in most markets; Wisconsin required for EMT-P roles.
• PALS certifications are strongly preferred.
• Experience with IV start, phlebotomy, and initiation of EKG preferred.
• Specific licensing requirements for certain markets (e.g., Las Vegas) may apply.

Responsibilities

• Collect, report, and document clinical data including vital signs and specimen collection.
• Perform lab testing per policies and CLIA/COLA regulations.
• Assist with patient activities per plan of care; provide superficial wound care.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy; ensure aseptic technique and infection control.
