Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA seeks an ED Technician to support nursing staff with routine patient care and specialized clinical skills. You will report any unusual findings, help maintain patient safety, and ensure standards are followed in a busy ED.

The role requires a US high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and prior CNA/EMT/PCT experience; shift is 7am–7pm, with a TBD weekly schedule, and a welcoming team in a community-focused hospital.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• 1 year experience as a CNA in acute care OR 1 year as EMT-Basic OR 1 year as a Patient Care Technician.
• Current BLS certification with hands-on manikin skills check.
• If not certified at hire, obtain BLS within 3 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with routine patient care.
• Perform specialized technical skills as required.
• Report any unusual incidents or findings.
• Maintain patient safety at all times.
• Care provided in accordance with hospital standards.
