Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson is seeking an Emergency Room Technician I to support the ED team during the 1p-1a shift. You will assist with triage, patient transport, vitals, and basic procedures under RN direction, while ensuring efficient patient flow and compassionate care.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and EMT/CRT/Paramedic training with CPR certification. Experience preferred; EHR proficiency and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of triage criteria and levels of care.
• Customer service techniques and compassionate interaction.
• Proficiency with computers and data entry for logs and reports.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced ED.

Responsibilities

• Complete triage documentation including vital signs and oxygen placement under RN guidance.
• Maintain patient flow and communicate care plans to patients and families.
• Assist with room cleaning and supply stocking; report abnormal vitals to RN.
• Assist with blood draws, IVs, EKGs, and specimen handling as directed.
