Job summary

White Plains Hospital seeks an ER Technician to join the Evening/Full-time team. Under RN supervision, you perform direct and indirect patient care, assist with blood draws, monitor patients, and support infection control and safety standards in a fast-paced ED.

You will collect specimens, place monitors, assist with orthopedic equipment setup, and help with throughput and performance improvement initiatives while maintaining compassionate care for patients of all ages. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of patient care experience.
• Competency in Phlebotomy.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens for venipuncture and label correctly.
• Monitor patients and perform vital signs; assist with activities of daily living.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor and obtain 12-lead EKGs within 10 minutes of arrival.
• Utilize current infection control practices and participate in quality initiatives.
• Transport patients and ensure stock and supplies are maintained in patient care areas.
