White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking an ER technician for day shifts on a per diem basis in White Plains, NY. Under RN direction, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, assist with blood collection, EKGs, and infection control, while supporting the emergency department goals.

Qualificações

• High School Required or GED Required.
• 1-3 years
• At least one year of patient care experience required.
• Required Competency in Phlebotomy.
• The ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a role model.
• Communicates effectively in English (written and verbal).
• The ability to perform well and retain composure under stressful situations.
• BLS - American Heart Association Required within 6 months of hire or transfer within 180 Days Effective 625/21, ER Technicians must complete de-escalation training (New Hires and Transfers) within 1 Year Required

Responsabilidades

• Accurately obtain blood specimens for venipuncture and label specimens.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor and obtain 12-lead EKGs within 10 minutes of arrival.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with infection control practices and isolation procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain supplies in patient care areas and carts for safe care.
• Attend mandatory in-services and staff meetings as required.
• Collaborate with the health care team and communicate patient status.
