Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Emergency Department seeks an Emergency Room Technical Assistant to support patient care under RN and provider supervision. You will help deliver timely treatment and maintain a safe, organized environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• BCLS certification required.
• One of the following certifications/programs: B-EMT, Graduate from a formal Medical Assistant program, Completion of a formal nursing education program, Completion of a formal medical doctor education program, or one year ER Technical experience in lieu of above (must complete certification/program within 12 months).
• Preferred: prior Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience.
• EMT license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care based on individual needs within the scope of practice.
• Support registered nurses and providers in delivering timely and effective treatment.
• Ensure a safe and organized environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide seamless patient care.
