Henry Ford Health Wyandotte Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Technical Assistant to join our fast-paced ED team. This full-time, afternoon-shift role runs 11am–11:30pm, totaling 36 hours per week, and supports patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider.

You will assist with patient care, help maintain a safe, organized ED environment, and complete a 180-day orientation to integrate into the team and responsibilities.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required.
• One of: B-EMT, Medical Assistant program, nursing program, or medical doctor program.
• OR one year ER Technical experience with certification within 12 months.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with patient care under RN or provider supervision.
• Support ED team to ensure timely patient care.
• Maintain a safe and organized patient care environment.
• Complete 180-day orientation to integrate into the team.
• Provide technical assistance in emergencies.

36 hours per week / 11am -11:30pm

Role Overview: As an Emergency Room Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with patient care based on individual needs, working under the direct supervision of registered nurses or providers. Your contributions ensure the smooth operation of the Emergency Department, supporting both patients and healthcare professionals in delivering timely and effective care.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• BCLS certification

One of the following

• B-EMT certification
• completion of a formal Medical Assistant program
• completion of a formal nursing education program
• completion of a formal medical doctor education program

OR

• one (1) year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience (must complete applicable certification/program within 12 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience
• EMT license
