Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Emergency Department Tech/Unit Coordinator to provide clinical support under the supervision of an RN. The role includes phlebotomy, EKG lead placement, trauma care, and respiratory support, along with clerical duties and patient transport.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and completion of a clinical assistant/EMT program, with BLS certification required and CNA/CMA/EMT preferred. Prior ED experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT program, or nursing prerequisites.
• BLS certification required; CNA/CMA/EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document intake/output, vitals, height/weight.
• Perform venipuncture and 12-lead EKG under RN direction.
• Assist RN/MD with procedures and patient setup; admit/discharge coordination.
