Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan is hiring a full-time Emergency Room Technician for the Chelsea Hospital ED in Chelsea, Michigan. The ER Tech provides direct patient care, assists physicians and nurses, and supports fast-paced emergency department operations 5pm–5am with patient-centered care and safety.

Responsibilities include vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, wound care support, equipment sterilization, and collaboration with the ED team while ensuring HIPAA compliance and safe, clean care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• BLS certification required
• EMT or Nursing Assistant training preferred
• Previous emergency care experience beneficial
• Proficiency with EHR and medical equipment

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and vital signs under RN/physician supervision
• Perform EKGs and assist with procedures in the ED
• Transport patients to testing areas and other departments
• Maintain sterile technique and inventory in treatment areas
• Communicate observations promptly to nursing staff
