Job summary

Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center in Findlay, OH seeks an ER Tech I to support physicians and healthcare providers in the Emergency Department. You will assist with patient care, prepare rooms, restock supplies, and help ensure a clean, service-oriented environment under supervision.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and current BLS CPR certification (or within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in healthcare setting (direct or non-direct) and positive service oriented communication.
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
• Expert using technology and typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care and report changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient care and room preparation as directed.
• Order and restock patient care supplies.
• Demonstrate service excellence and promote patient satisfaction.
• Comply with policies to ensure quality and safety.
• Train and maintain competency in phlebotomy, nasal and throat cultures.
• Train and maintain competency in urinalysis drug screens.
• Witness patient signature and route signatory process.
• Enter ED charges into the computer.
• Answer phones and route messages to appropriate departments.
• Maintain department-specific competencies.
