Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX, seeks a Nurse Assistant to support the Emergency Department. You will assist nurses with patient care and ensure comfort and safety under supervision, contributing to a fast-paced, high‑quality care environment.

The role requires CNA certification or enrollment in a nursing program, BLS, and CPI-based de‑escalation training within six months. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• MA, CNA or student in the last year of Nursing program required.
• De-escalation training (obtained CPI within six months of employment) in required specialty
• Current BLS required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Competency checkist must be completed prior to being able to start IVs

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in the Emergency Room with patient care under supervision.
