Oregon Health & Science University is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to work in the ED under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role includes direct patient care, assisting with admissions and discharges, and maintaining ED supplies and documentation.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma, one year of ED patient-care experience, phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG skills, and BLS/CPR. EMT/CNA/MA education is encouraged. DAY and NIGHT shifts are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of recent patient-care experience in ED or similar setting.
• Phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG placement, and BLS/CPR certification required or as stated.
• EMT, CNA, MA and/or equivalent education preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and assist with admissions and discharges.
• Obtain vital signs, document I&Os, and assist with routine clinical tasks.
• Perform phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG as directed by clinicians.
• Maintain ED supplies, documentation, and patient safety measures.
