Job summary

Cumberland Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Student Registered Nurse Associate for the Emergency Room on a PRN/occ, day shift, with variable hours per pay period. The role supports RN supervision in delivering patient care in a busy ER setting in Crossville, Tennessee.

Ideal candidates are nursing students in good standing (junior/senior) who can perform basic nursing tasks, follow sterile technique, and maintain accurate records under guidance. CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Student must be enrolled in an accredited nursing education program.
• Junior or senior year status required or must complete program within same semester of hiring.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Measures vital signs and documents results.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies.
• Completes assigned tasks with minimal supervision and seeks guidance when needed.
• Maintains patient comfort, privacy and dignity at all times.
• Assists with nutrition and hydration and basic dressing changes.
• Documents treatments, plans of care and patient responses clearly.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and staff.
• Observes patient changes and reports significant events to RN.
• Supports clean and orderly patient and work areas.
