Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide general nursing care across the continuum in a 24/7 acute care setting. The RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs per policy.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, with emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork. Minimum qualifications include an Ohio RN license, BLS, and BSN within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current RN license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification is required.
• BSN required within 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate with the care team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Participate in process improvement to enhance clinical quality and safety.
• Provide leadership in safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
