Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Central Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse in a dynamic emergency care environment. The role requires nursing licensure in Massachusetts, completion of an accredited program, and current BLS (ACLS where required).

You will provide direct patient care, assessments, and discharge planning, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position is non-exempt with a mixed shift schedule and potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN; ACLS if current where applicable.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment.
• Develops and coordinates plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Develops and documents Education Plan for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with providers.
• Administers medications and assists in procedures as required.
