Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA seeks an RN for the Emergency Room to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process from admission to discharge. The role requires active Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and ACLS as applicable, with preferred BSN and a strong knowledge of nursing disciplines.

The position offers a day shift, 32 hours per week, with a potential signing bonus and consideration of full or reduced scheduling options based on weekly hours and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration required.
• BLS required; ACLS certification current or unit-specific certifications assumed.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
