Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an RN for the Emergency Room in Central Massachusetts. The role uses the Nursing Process from admission to discharge, with a focus on patient assessment, care planning, and interprofessional collaboration.

Licensure in Massachusetts and BLS are required; ACLS and additional unit certifications may be needed. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with a 7a–7p schedule and a signing bonus eligibility discussed in interview.

Qualifications

• Requires Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS (and ACLS per unit) may be required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process from Admission to Discharge.
• Develops and coordinates patient care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Delegates tasks per competency and staff level.
• Documents care and supports education for patient/family.
