Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to assess, treat, and educate patients while adhering to nursing standards and hospital policies.

You will be expected to manage pain, document care, respond to patient needs, and teach patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• 1+ Years of ER RN Experience Required!
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Associate Degree
• ACLS Instructor within 90 days of start date
• BCLS Instructor within 30 days of start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassessments after intervention.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by physicians and documents care in the medical record.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and proactively resolves needs.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, status, treatment plans, medications and follow-up.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and preparations for future self-management.
