Job summary

Mercy Health in Defiance is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced ER setting.

You will assess patient status, prioritize needs, collaborate with an interprofessional team, implement care plans, and administer medications safely.

Graduate with an accredited nursing degree, active RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS/PALS per hire; one year of ER or critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Assess and treat patients in a fast-paced ER.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team focused on achieving the best individual patient and population outcomes
• Evaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Provides care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short-stay to trauma
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
