Job summary

Baldwin Health in Gulf Shores, AL is hiring an ER Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN, day shifts in a Free Standing Emergency Room setting. The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborates with physicians, nurses and staff to deliver timely, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, supporting life-saving interventions, documenting care, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure in state of Alabama (or compact state) required.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care according to nursing process.
• Documents findings and reports changes in condition promptly.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develops and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
• Maintains infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
