Job summary

Baldwin Health is hiring an ER Registered Nurse (RN) for the Free Standing Emergency Room in Gulf Shores. The PRN, days shift requires delivering patient-centered care through the nursing process, coordinating with the care team, and following protocols to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

You will administer medications, monitor patients, assist physicians during procedures, respond to emergencies including CPR, educate patients and families, and participate in performance improvement

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care or student clinical rotations.
• RN license required (state licensure and/or compact).
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post‑discharge care.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record and ensure safety and infection control standards.
