Job summary

Baptist Health Care is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Pensacola, FL. This PRN role provides professional nursing care following the nursing process in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, interventions, and documentation. Requires Florida RN licensure or compact state eligibility, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/CPI certifications within required timeframes.

Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in acute care nursing.
• Active RN licensure in Florida or compact state on hire.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and CPI certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care with patient/significant other.
• Implements medical/nursing interventions per plan of care.
• Evaluates problems and patient responses to ensure quality of care.
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation for care coordination.
• Performs duties in the emergency unit/critical care as defined for the unit.
• Maintains current knowledge, certifications and licensure.
