Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. Evening shifts and per diem status provide flexibility while delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements include an active New Jersey RN license, BLS certification, and emergency nursing experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, with EPIC EMR experience highly desirable for documentation and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families to prepare for next steps of care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team-based care.
• Support ongoing professional development and clinical ladder opportunities.
