Job summary

Oro Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department to work the night shift in a fast-paced ED environment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with physicians and nurses, and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.

The ED RN will assess patients, administer medications, participate in life-saving interventions, and educate patients and families. OVH is a 176-bed facility with a commitment to teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• 1+ years of RN Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Ability to provide patient-centered care and coordinate with care teams.
• Strong documentation and communication skills for accurate charting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care following the nursing process.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within the scope of competency.
• Responds to emergencies including CPR and code team activities as needed.
• Documents patient care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
