Job summary

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) at Chelsea Hospital provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for acute illnesses, injuries and emergencies. You rapidly assess, triage and implement evidence-based interventions in a fast-paced ED.

Requirements include an accredited nursing degree, current Michigan RN license, BLS, ACLS and ENPC (or ability to obtain). Shift is 12 hours (night), full-time with weekend rotation and ongoing opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• ENPC certification or ability to obtain within designated timeframe.
• TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
• Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical presentation.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs and response to treatment.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders.
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Provide emergency nursing care for diverse emergencies and trauma.
• Operate and monitor emergency department equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals; communicate care plans.
• Document in the EMR; ensure compliance with policies and safety initiatives.
