Job summary

Guthrie County Hospital is seeking a Staff RN to join our team. This role provides comprehensive patient care during the 6:45pm–7:15am shift, requiring strong assessment, planning and collaboration with the care team.

New grads are welcome; BSN preferred and Iowa RN license required. We offer opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/PALS/TNCC preferred.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care.
• Perform admission assessment and home med reconciliation for varied patients.
• Provide hourly rounds, patient and family teaching, and discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control measures and safety protocols.
• Communicate with the health team to coordinate care and outcomes.
