Job summary

Great River Health Systems in Iowa is seeking an Inpatient Nursing RN to support the day-to-day operations of the unit. The role collaborates with managers and directors to assign work, coach staff in real time, and recognize outstanding performance during night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, including every other weekend.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license in Iowa with an Associate Degree, BLS/ACLS/Basics, and prior precepting experience.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Required: Registered Nursing license in the State of Iowa.
• Maintains current and active status on all required trainings and education as outlines by corporate policy.
• BLS/ACLS/Basic Dysrhythmia Certified.
• Required experience as preceptor and mentor for nursing staff.
• Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in Acute Medical Care.
• Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in providing adult education.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Board Certified in nursing education, professional nursing development, or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• To aid and assist in the development, implementation, utilization and maintenance of the day-to-day operations of the Inpatient Nursing unit.
• Works closely with departmental managers and directors in the assistance of staff and patient needs while performing as an integral role in department operations, including but not limited to—assigning work, real time coaching and rewarding.
