Job summary

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Fairfield, IL. The role requires delivering direct patient care, triage, medication administration, and collaborative care planning in a fast-paced ED setting.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold an Illinois RN license, and have BLS; ACLS within 3 months, PALS within 6 months, and TNCC/TNS within one year are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a current RN license in Illinois.
• ACLS certification within 3 months of hire; PALS within 6 months; TNCC or TNS within one year of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience; preferred 18 months acute/critical care or ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
• Triage patients and respond to emergent situations.
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Supervise and orient ED Technicians and new staff.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and department standards.
