Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our night shift team. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, monitor responses, and educate patients and families about conditions and self-care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, thorough documentation in the EMR, and adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• RN with active license in Florida.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in critical care and acute care settings preferred.
• Must have excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to work night shift and PRN schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
