Job summary

Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department Night shift (7pm-7am). The role focuses on exemplary nursing care, patient-centered, culturally aware practice and partnerships with the care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The RN will perform the full nursing process, collaborate during interdisciplinary rounds, and uphold evidence-based standards while contributing to performance improvement and safe patient care across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• All certifications required upon hire (as listed in job description).

Responsibilities

• Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice.
• Delivers relationship-based patient-centered care adapted to diverse populations and maintains patient and family involvement.
• Partners with patients and families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching to align goals with care.
• Promotes evidence-based practice, safety standards and continuous quality improvement in nursing care.
