Job summary

Northwest Health in Porter is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The full-time, midshift RN will provide patient-centered care 36 hours per week, coordinating care with physicians and the health team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

You will administer medications, monitor patients, respond to emergencies, educate families, and participate in quality improvement. Certification in BCLS or ACLS preferred; Indiana RN license required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings for the care team.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities.
