Job summary

BayCare is offering an ER Internship Program at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. The program aims to equip RNs with critical care skills through didactic sessions and a comprehensive preceptorship, with day and night shift exposure and every-other-weekend commitments.

Applicants must hold an active Florida or compact RN license, with BLS, EKG testing, and preferably ACLS. A 6-month RN background is noted, and 1 year of acute care is a plus. All internships are in-person at the BayCare network.

Qualifications

• Active Florida or Compact RN license.
• 6 months or more of licensed RN experience.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• EKG Script test will be provided at the start of the internship program; pass within 2 attempts.
• Preferred: ACLS certification with the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: 1 year of RN experience in Acute Care.

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients using the nursing process.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other health care team members.
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care.
