Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II (RN II) for ER Nursing to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced department. The RN will perform the full nursing process, participate in quality and safety initiatives, and collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an RN license (Virginia/West Virginia eligible) and BLS certification, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Meets RN licensure requirements and eligible to practice in Virginia/West Virginia as applicable.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA) required or eligible before orientation.
• RN license required and compliance with state nursing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation.
• Provide quality communication, teamwork, and leadership within the health care team.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching and safety initiatives.
• Fulfill unit leadership duties including charge nurse responsibilities and participation in PI activities.
