Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Emergency Room Nursing department in Virginia. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, supervise charge activities, and lead clinical team efforts to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Required RN licensure with Virginia eligibility or multi-state license, BLS certification, and 1872 hours of RN experience (936 hours if BSN).

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) is required.
• Bachelors Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Advancement to this level requires a minimum of 1872 full-time or part-time hours (936 if BSN) of RN experience and completion of a performance evaluation.
• RN License is required. Based on Virginia regulations, licensed or eligible to practice in VA.
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, execution, evaluation.
• Lead, communicate, and support unit teams for quality care and safety.
• Coordinate patient teaching and participate in unit initiatives and performance improvements.
