Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with providers and the care team, ensuring documentation and advocacy throughout the patient journey.

The role requires 1+ year ER experience and active BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or instructor eligibility within 30 days of employment start date.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in the state
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date
• PALS certification required within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Document administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow-up measures.
• Provide guidance on lifestyle changes and future self-management.
