Qualifications

• TN RN licensure (or compact state)
• Current BLS
• ACLS and PALS within 1 year of employment
• CPI within 6 months of employment
• 1 year RN experience
• ER experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and documents care in the medical record.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider and documents care in the chart.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and strives to anticipate needs and resolve them proactively.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Explains non-medical follow-up measures and prepares for future self-management.
