Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN, is interviewing for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (PRN). The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team, using established nursing models to support excellent outcomes.

The role emphasizes pain assessment, timely care documentation, and patient/family teaching on conditions, treatment plans, and self-management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of ER RN experience required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• TNCC or TNCC Instructor must be obtained within 6 months.
• PALS or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Prepares patients and families for future self-management and lifestyle changes.
