Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department and related units. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation using the nursing process.

The position requires MN RN licensure, at least 1 year in an ED, and willingness to train staff. Delegated supervisory responsibilities may occur, with emphasis on patient safety and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
• At least 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check as required by Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Medical, Surgical, Emergency, Senior Care, Nursery, Chemotherapy as needed.*
• Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, Health Unit Coordinators as needed.*
• Perform thorough interviews and assessments to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Initiate and update patient care plans using computerized documentation.*
• Work with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment to reduce errors.*
• Willing to train new staff and participate in skills fairs.*
• Maintain safety and quality protocols, PPE use, and incident reporting.*
• Ensure accurate admission, discharge, medication administration, teaching, and daily living activities documentation.*
• Contribute to safety/risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
