Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care across multiple units, guided by the nursing process. The role emphasizes collaboration with management, initiative, and adherence to policy and standards.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, MN RN license, and at least 1 year in an Emergency Department, plus successful background screening. In-house trauma training is provided within the first year of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Minnesota.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an Emergency Department.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check as required by Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Supervise LPNs, nursing assistants and unit coordinators as needed.
• Maintain patient care plans and computerized documentation.
• Demonstrate effective interviewing and assessment to plan and evaluate care.
• Ensure safety, accuracy and timeliness in documentation and care delivery.
