Job summary

HCCH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department and Med/Surg to provide high-quality, direct patient care in a fast-paced setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process in accordance with ED standards.

The role requires active Missouri RN licensure, ADN (BSN preferred), and BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC within specified timelines. 1–2 years of ED experience is preferred, with competency in EMR and resuscitation support.

Qualifications

• RN license/registration current in Missouri or eligible.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC within required timeframes.
• 1–2 years emergency nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess ED patients to identify urgent needs and care actions.
• Prioritize and administer urgent interventions per assessments.
• Collaborate with ED team to develop care plans.
• Document all care in EMR per ED protocols.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
• Assist in resuscitation and airway management as needed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety in high-stress situations.
• Record progress notes accurately and participate in quality improvement.
