Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room at Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status and manage urgent care needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, updating care plans, administering medications safely, and coordinating patient care across departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
• One (1) year of professional RN experience; ER/CC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status and determine priority of problems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team.
• Develop and revise care plans to achieve outcomes.
• Administer medications safely.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients from short-stay to trauma.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments.
