Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse for Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. This ER RN will deliver high-quality nursing care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and manage patient care in a fast-paced setting.

A minimum of one year RN experience is required, with room for professional growth and sign-on bonuses for external applicants. Minimum education is an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing, current RN license, and basic life support.

Qualifications

• One year RN professional experience required.
• Current state RN license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide patient care in ER.
• Assess patient status and determine priority of needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop and adjust patient care plans to improve outcomes.
• Administer medications safely per policy and practice standards.
• Coordinate care across hospital departments as the patient’s point of contact.
• Support EPIC EHR workflows and documentation as needed.
